Affiliate links

We stand for honesty, so we are open about how the project earns and how this relates to our recommendations.

What it means

Notela Guides contains affiliate links to partner shops, including through affiliate networks. If you follow such a link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission. The price does not change for you — you do not pay more because you came from us.

How it affects the recommendations

Not at all. We choose products based on the concern and the formula, not on the size of the commission. Whether or not a particular brand has an affiliate programme does not affect whether we recommend it. If something does not suit the concern, we do not advise it — even if a link could earn us something.

Why we do this at all

Affiliate links help the project exist and stay free for readers, without intrusive advertising. It is a common model for educational sites, and we think it is important to state it plainly.

Data and cookies

When you follow an affiliate link, third-party services may set their own cookies to record the click and a possible purchase. How this works from a data point of view is described in our Privacy Policy.

Not a medical recommendation

Our materials and selections are educational and do not replace a consultation with a doctor. The choice of a particular product always remains with you, and where needed — with your dermatologist.
